Job Title: Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Acocks Green, B27
Estimated total package: £36,000 - £37,100 p/a (based on 2 sleep-ins per month)
Bonus Scheme: Up to £3000 per annum in performance-based bonuses
Enhanced Overtime: +£2.20 per hour!
Hours: Full time, up to 40 hours per week (+ sleeps required)
Shift pattern: 7:30-21:30, 1 on 2 off or 2 on 3 off (flexibility required)

The home itself is a warm and welcoming three-bedded emotional behavioural difficulties children’s home designed to provide stability, support, and opportunities for young people to thrive. The Registered Manager has over seven years of experience in residential EBD care, including five years in a management position, and has successfully led teams in delivering high-quality, therapeutic care to children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs. They have been described by Ofsted as being a manager who “keeps children at the heart of all she does.”
What will you receive?
✨ Basic pay: £15.30 - £15.80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications, plus £50 per sleep-in
✨ Estimated total package: Earn up to £37,100 per annum,based on 2 sleep-ins per month

What will you do?
As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding care while ensuring the smooth operation of the home. Your key responsibilities will include:
✨ Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and support a team of support workers, conduct appraisals, supervisions, and ensure high-quality care delivery.
✨ Care Planning: Develop and review personalized care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans to meet the needs and goals of each child.
✨ Safeguarding & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding policies and ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards.
✨ Supporting Young People: Act as a key worker, promoting life skills, independence, and personal development. Plan and participate in engaging activities and educational programs.
✨ Health & Safety: Conduct regular checks, oversee medication administration, and ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for residents.
✨ Communication: Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals while maintaining detailed and accurate records.
What will you need?
✨ Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
✨ Experience working with young people in a residential care setting.
✨ Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
✨ A full UK driving license (preferred but not essential).
✨ Commitment to the safety, well-being, and development of children.
