Fife Council is seeking an exceptional Community Manager (Area) to provide strategic place leadership across the communities of South and West Fife. This is a unique opportunity to shape local priorities, influence service delivery, develop partnerships and empower communities to achieve better outcomes.
You will work at the heart of local community planning, bringing together residents, councillors, partner organisations and council services to deliver meaningful change and create thriving, resilient places.
This is far more than a service management position. As Community Manager, you will be the Council's leading advocate for place-based working within South and West Fife, helping communities shape their future and influencing how services are designed and delivered.
We are looking for a confident and politically aware leader who can build trust, influence across organisational boundaries and inspire collective action.
A degree (SCQF Level 9) or equivalent professional experience.
Strong knowledge of community planning and place-based approaches.
Significant experience of partnership working across public, voluntary and community sectors.
Proven leadership experience, including developing teams and leading organisational change.
Experience of working with elected members and navigating complex political environments.
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
The ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions that make a difference locally.
