Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pizza Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on pizza making. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary talents in a dynamic restaurant environment, ensuring every pizza served meets our high standards of quality and flavour. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting delicious pizzas while maintaining excellent food safety standards. Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred, along with a genuine enthusiasm for creating exceptional dishes that delight our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards
- Cook pizzas to perfection using appropriate methods and equipment
- Ensure all food preparation areas are kept clean, organised, and hygienic in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in the development of new pizza recipes and menu items
- Maintain stock levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages
- Serve pizzas promptly while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as required
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to pizza making is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask effectively
- Previous experience serving customers or working directly with diners is advantageous but not essential
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and contributing to a team-focused kitchen atmosphere
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
