Responsibilities
- Present menus, answer questions about food and beverage options, and offer recommendations based on guest preferences
- Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are accommodated
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Check in with guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately, providing clear receipts and thank-yous
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, utensils, and service stations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues quickly
Experience
- Previous experience in fast paced restaurants needed
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling of food and beverages
- Experience with catering events or bar service such as bartending or barista work is a plus
- Knowledge of menu items, wine pairings, and beverage preparation techniques enhances guest interactions
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with guests and team members
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
