Job Summary

Duties
- Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to ensure high standards of quality and hygiene.
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and measuring.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times.
- Serve food to customers or assist in serving areas as required.
- Support catering events by setting up and clearing away dining areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or similar food service environments is desirable but not essential.
- Basic cooking and food preparation skills; willingness to learn new techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary.
- A positive attitude and eagerness to develop culinary skills through on-the-job training.
