Duties
- Safely operate a commercial van or delivery vehicle to complete multiple deliveries throughout your designated route
- Load and unload packages, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure during transit
- Follow planned delivery schedules accurately while maintaining flexibility for route adjustments
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Keep accurate records of deliveries made, mileage, and any delivery exceptions or incidents
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to promote safe driving practices at all times
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving multi-drop routes is preferred
- Valid van or commercial driving license with a clean driving record is essential
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques enhances efficiency in handling packages
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Experience in driving in urban or suburban environments helps navigate routes smoothly
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and heavy lifting is advantageous
