Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in care, demonstrating compassion and patience, with excellent communication skills. This role involves supporting our clients during the evenings/nights, working with other team members to ensure the Home is clean and tidy, and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
- Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
- Communicate effectively with residents and other staff members.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care or similar role is desirable.
- Level 3 NVQ is preferred.
- Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Proficient IT skills for maintaining care records and documentation.
