Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, providing detailed information about items including origin, uses, and benefits
- Maintain attractive product displays through effective merchandising techniques to maximize sales and enhance visual appeal
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and giving change with professionalism and courtesy
- Upsell complementary products by suggesting additional items that meet customer needs and preferences
- Manage stock levels by monitoring inventory, restocking shelves promptly, and organizing storage areas efficiently
- Communicate clearly with team members to coordinate daily tasks and ensure smooth shop operations
- Use phone etiquette to answer customer inquiries professionally and provide information about products or store hours
Qualifications
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable; fluency in English.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse customers confidently and effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions, counting change, and managing inventory counts accurately
- Strong organizational skills to keep the shop tidy, well-stocked, and visually appealing at all times
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via messaging platforms
- Experience in merchandising or retail is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
