Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Waiter/Waitress to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Handle payments efficiently using the POS system, providing correct change and receipts
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties if required, adhering to food safety standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Good organisational skills with effective time management
- Familiarity with food preparation or culinary processes is a plus
- Capable of upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and revenue
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
