We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Healthcare Instructors to join our team on a sessional basis. This flexible role is ideal for healthcare professionals who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and supporting the development of the healthcare workforce while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
As a Sessional Healthcare Instructor, you will deliver engaging, high-quality training across a range of healthcare programmes, helping learners develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to provide safe, effective, and compassionate care.
Priory Hospital Chelmsford is seeking a Sessional Fitness Instructor – to join our team. This is a self-employed, sessional role offering flexibility around the centre’s needs and your availability.
- Deliver face-to-face healthcare training sessions.
- Facilitate practical skills training and assess learner competence.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and learner support.
- Maintain accurate assessment and attendance records.
- Ensure training is delivered in line with current legislation, professional standards, and awarding body requirements.
- Promote best practice in patient care, safeguarding, infection prevention, and health and safety.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 Gym Instructing qualification and a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training, both of which should be CIMSPA approved.
- Teaching, training, or assessor qualification (or substantial experience delivering training).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current healthcare practice and legislation.
- A commitment to delivering an outstanding learner experience.
Desirable
- Experience delivering accredited healthcare qualifications.
- Experience with practical assessments and quality assurance processes.
- Current registration with a relevant professional body, where applicable.
