YOUR ROLE
As HR Administrator within the UK HR Shared Services team, you will be a people-focused HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a positive impact across the full employee lifecycle, including Talent Acquisition, onboarding, Learning & Development, Benefits, HRIS and Reporting as well as employee engagement and wellbeing,
Working closely with employees, managers and key stakeholders, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth, responsive and professional HR service that supports our people and helps deliver an excellent employee experience.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Provide broad HR and payroll administration support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, internal moves, contractual changes, benefits, learning and development, and offboarding.
Maintain accurate employee records, documentation and HR systems, ensuring information is completed, retained and archived in line with company policy, GDPR and wider compliance requirements.
Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager queries, providing timely support through the HR mailbox, telephone, Microsoft Teams and face-to-face communication.
Support payroll preparation, monthly validation, data checking, reporting and analysis to ensure employee and payroll information remains accurate and up to date.
Administer employee benefits, respond to benefit-related queries and coordinate communications that improve employee awareness and engagement.
Provide administrative and documentation support for employee relations matters, policy guidance, HR audits and compliance checks.
Support talent acquisition activity, including candidate management, interview coordination, liaison with hiring managers and agencies, and delivery of a positive candidate experience.
Prepare onboarding documentation, coordinate induction activity and work with internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth and positive new starter experience.
Support Early Careers initiatives, including representing CMA CGM at careers events with local partner schools, colleges and universities.
Coordinate mandatory and developmental learning activities, liaising with training providers, maintaining training records and sharing learning-related data with stakeholders.
Produce cyclical and ad hoc HR reports for key stakeholders, including senior management, and analyse people data to identify themes, trends and opportunities for improvement.
Coordinate employee engagement and wellbeing activity, including campaigns, events, awareness days and team-building initiatives, while gathering feedback to improve the employee experience.
Develop internal communications and promotional materials that increase awareness and participation in HR, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
Administer HR, payroll and learning systems, ensuring data accuracy across databases and reporting tools.
Identify and support opportunities to streamline HR processes, improve administrative efficiency and implement new HR initiatives, projects and systems.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR | KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Demonstrable HR administration experience throughout the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced working environment.
Excellent analytical skills, with high levels of attention to detail whilst working with large volumes of HR data
Ability to collate reports and present HR data and information to key stakeholders in different formats, including Excel, Powerpoint and internal systems.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
Excellent working knowledge of full suite of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and MS Teams.
Demonstrable experience of working with HRIS / CRM systems (SAP Success Factors would be advantageous but is not essential).
Self starter with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, who is comfortable with multiskilling and has strong planning and organisational skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced HR Shared Services environment.
CIPD/HR-related professional qualification (advantageous, but not essential)
