The BIG Trade Counter is one of the largest trade counter brands and part of the larger GJB Holdings Group which for over 30 years has been manufacturing and delivering UPVC and Aluminium windows and doors to our customers.
We are now looking for a Trade CounterWarehouse Operative / Driver to join our team at The Big Trade Counter in Barton. In this role, you will serve our customers in store, support the operations in the warehouse such as picking orders and loading and you will also deliver goods within the Barton area. Requirements:
- Basic driving license (3.5 tons)
- Experience of working in the warehouse environment.
- Must be polite and have good customer services experience as you will be representing the company while working in store and when delivering our goods.
- Vehicle Loading & Unloading: Safely load, secure, and unload delivery vans in line with daily dispatch schedules. Some of the items may be heavy, so must be physically able to lift, load and unload the vehicle.
- Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick products using pick lists, package items securely, and prepare goods for outbound transit.
- Driving & Deliveries: Transport goods to client sites or secondary locations safely, efficiently, and on schedule. A full clean driving license is required for this role, which you must have held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Goods Inward & Sorting: Receive incoming deliveries, verify stock against delivery notes, and sort items to designated warehouse bays.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Assist with routine stock takes, report damaged or missing goods, and maintain accurate inventory locations.
- Warehouse Upkeep: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety standards.

Additional Notes
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4.00pm including 1 hour unpaid break (occasional earlier start may be required). Additional hours maybe required to meet the needs of the business.
