Job Purpose:
To manage the flow of palletised and non-palletised goods in and out of our warehouse accurately and efficiently, to load and unload vehicles accurately, to complete paperwork as required and follow instructions, as well as working with a team ethos to ensure that an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers.
The shift we're looking to fill is 09:30am to 6pm, with a 30-min break.
Main Tasks:
- Load and unload vehicles as directed
- Complete loading and unloading paperwork
- Locate and pick palletised goods from our warehouse using bendi forklifts
- Complete stock location and stock picking paperwork
- Work with a high degree of accuracy at all times
- Label and scan incoming and outgoing pallets
Person Specification Requirements:
The successful candidate must have pivot and counterbalance experience, with shunting experience being a positive, as well as;
- Good standard of education
- Able to deal with and communicate to all levels and working in a busy office environment
- Basic level of numeracy and literacy, in order to complete work documentation to a high level of accuracy
- Detail conscious and organised with an ability to work to deadlines
- Confident in generating ideas and seeking improved methods of working
- Calm and conscientious when under pressure
- Enthusiastic and able to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
- Flexible approach to occasional irregularity of hours / nights in order to achieve completion
- Flexible approach to changing workloads and covering of other job roles / tasks of required tasks
- Able to work as one team
- Ensure quality of work at all times
- Adopt a positive approach
- Treat all colleagues with respect
- Be reliable
