Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and culinary excellence, with a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
This is a part time job working 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Assist in the management of kitchen operations, including inventory control and stock rotation.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Participate in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes.
- Assist with training new team members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food production processes.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Leadership qualities with experience supervising or mentoring other staff members.
- A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining individual accountability.
