We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Cricket After School Club Lead to organise and deliver our after-school cricket programme. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for cricket, coaching, and working with young people, with the ability to inspire children through engaging and well-structured coaching sessions. This paid role offers an excellent opportunity to develop leadership skills while making a positive impact on children's physical, social, and personal development through sport.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver fun, engaging, and progressive cricket coaching sessions suitable for a range of age groups and abilities.
- Organise and supervise after-school cricket clubs, ensuring every participant is safe, included, and actively involved.
- Create a positive learning environment that promotes teamwork, respect, confidence, and fair play.
- Monitor participants' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
- Liaise professionally with school staff and parents regarding club schedules, objectives, and participant progress where appropriate.
- Prepare, maintain, and safely store all cricket equipment before and after each session.
- Demonstrate excellent sportsmanship, professionalism, enthusiasm, and leadership at all times.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and company policies.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience coaching cricket or other team sports.
- Previous experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or educational setting.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to adapt sessions for varying abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with children, parents, and school staff.
- A positive, energetic, and enthusiastic approach to coaching.
- A commitment to encouraging participation, enjoyment, and personal development through sport.
- The ability to motivate and inspire young people while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Successful candidates may also be offered paid lunchtime club sessions, delivering engaging sports activities during the school day, as well as additional coaching hours during our school holiday camps. Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
