Sales Administrator
Location: Aldridge Walsall
Salary: £25,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time & Part Time Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 08:30 – 17:00
Company Overview
Our client is an established and growing supplier operating within the industrial manufacturing sector, providing specialist products and solutions to a diverse range of business customers.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an organised and proactive Sales Administrator to provide essential administrative and customer support to the sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous sales administration or customer service experience who enjoys working in a busy commercial environment and is confident managing multiple priorities.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales function, helping ensure customer orders are processed accurately, enquiries are dealt with efficiently and internal teams have the information they need to deliver a high level of service.
You will work closely with customers, sales colleagues and internal departments, building strong relationships and ensuring a smooth process from initial enquiry through to order completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales team.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Maintain accurate customer and order records.
- Update and manage CRM systems and databases.
- Prepare quotations, sales documentation and customer paperwork.
- Liaise with customers regarding orders, deliveries and product information.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
- Assist with invoicing and relevant sales documentation.
- Produce reports and maintain accurate sales information.
- Support the sales team with general administrative tasks.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within sales administration, customer service or a similar commercial support role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience processing orders and maintaining customer records.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
Desirable Experience
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or technical environment.
- Experience dealing with B2B customers.
- Experience preparing quotations, invoices or sales documentation.
- Familiarity with technical products or industrial supply environments.
