Don't take another GP job where "career development" means an annual CPD webinar.
We're recruiting for a Barnsley practice where two of the three existing vets are currently working towards certificates.
One is developing further in exotics. Another is completing a surgical certificate. The Head Vet, meanwhile, has a strong interest in dermatology and diagnostics.
They're now looking for vet number four.
It's a genuinely varied clinical environment, backed by a large nursing team and an experienced front-of-house team, with access to ultrasound, X-ray, dental X-ray, in-house laboratory facilities and a caseload that includes orthopaedics, advanced dentistry and exotics.
If you have your own area you'd like to develop, even better. The wider group offers funded postgraduate certificates alongside CPD support and funded memberships.
What does the rota actually look like?
- You'll have a guaranteed weekday off each week, likely Thursday.
- Weekends are 1:4, working 9am to 3pm Saturday and Sunday.
- There are two 11:30am to 9pm shifts each week.
Need sponsorship?
That's not automatically a barrier here. Skilled Worker visa sponsorship can be supported for the right vet.
Salary is dependent on experience and is up to £68,000+
Who we're looking for
You don't need a certificate already.
This is more about finding a capable GP vet who wants to keep progressing clinically and likes the idea of joining a team with different interests rather than being expected to cover everything alone.
Already reasonably happy where you are?
That's fine. You don't need to commit to an application. Get in touch and I can talk you through the team, role and practice first, and you can decide whether it's worth exploring.
