We are a busy, dynamic car dealership in Cambridgeshire looking for a versatile Automotive Mechanic / Vehicle Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, or for a trainee/apprentice looking to start a career in vehicle maintenance.
The successful candidate will:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a variety of vehicles
- Carry out servicing, MOT preparation, and general vehicle maintenance
- Assist with vehicle valeting and preparation for sale
- Support the sales team with general tasks and vehicle movement
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
- Take ownership of tasks and work independently when required
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience for experienced roles, or willingness to train for trainee roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Flexible, reliable, and a team player
- Willingness to assist across dealership tasks, including car sales support and valeting
