Key Responsibilities
Transport: Safely pick up and drop off client dogs. Must be a confident driver and happy to drive a van.
Field & Pack Care: Walk and manage dogs on a regular schedule, regardless of weather conditions.
Training Support: Implement skill-building exercises with dogs during their time at the school.
Assist Lead Professionals: Work alongside our Dog Trainers and Behaviourist during 1-to-1 sessions and Reactivity Boot Camps, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.
Safety & Welfare: Closely monitor dog behaviour, health, and pack dynamics; maintain strict safety standards and report any concerns promptly.
Customer Service: Deliver clear, friendly, and professional updates to dog owners.
Facility Maintenance: Assist with essential upkeep, including cleaning, field maintenance, and equipment care.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience working with dogs or a relevant qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ in Animal Care, or equivalent) is preferred. A full UK driving licence is a must.
Handling Ability: Confidence and competence handling dogs of all breeds, temperaments, and sizes.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with pet owners and team members.
Reliability: Highly punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently as well as follow explicit instruction.
Physical Fitness: Capable of handling active dogs, outdoor field conditions, and light lifting/maintenance tasks.
All-Weather Resilience: Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions—rain or shine!
