About the Role
As our Pre-School Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team, delivering high-quality early education and ensuring every child receives the very best care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS.
You will work closely with the Nursery Management Team to maintain outstanding practice, support staff development and create an inspiring environment that prepares children for school and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the Pre-School team on a daily basis.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Plan engaging activities that support every child's individual development.
- Build warm, positive relationships with children and families.
- Monitor children's progress and complete accurate observations and assessments.
- Support, coach and mentor team members to achieve the highest standards.
- Ensure safeguarding and child welfare remain at the heart of everything you do.
- Maintain excellent health and safety, hygiene and risk assessment practices.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive and enabling learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to continually improve the nursery.
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
- Previous experience working within an Early Years setting.
- Experience leading or supervising a team.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
- Strong safeguarding knowledge.
- Outstanding communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, proactive and professional attitude.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding training.
- SEND experience.
- Experience preparing children for school readiness.
