Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and versatile Multi-Skilled Bakery Operators to join our dynamic bakery teams. The working pattern is 4 days on and 4 days off between the hours of 7am to 7pm or 10am to 10pm.
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating various bakery equipment, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the production process from start to finish. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for baking and food production. The position is essential in maintaining high-quality bakery products while adhering to strict hygiene and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a range of bakery machinery and equipment efficiently and safely, including mixers, ovens, and packaging machines.
- Monitor production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes.
- Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of equipment to minimise downtime.
- Follow HACCP protocols and food safety standards diligently to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including weighing, measuring, and mixing as per specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements or efficiency measures.
- Record production data accurately using basic maths skills for inventory control and quality assurance purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production or bakery operations is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety standards are met.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within the production schedule.
