Are you an experienced property maintenance professional with a passion for leading a high-performing team and delivering excellent customer service? We are looking for a Service Manager to lead and manage our in-house property maintenance team, ensuring high-quality, value-for-money services for our customers across West Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining homes, improving communities, and driving service excellence.
You'll be joining a housing association that owns and manages approximately 3,600 homes across West Yorkshire, serving communities in Leeds, Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield and Bradford. Our diverse housing portfolio includes general needs homes, housing for older people, supported housing and shared ownership properties.
About the Role
As Service Manager, you'll work with two other service managers, providing leadership and direction across a range of property services, ensuring operational delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction remain at the heart of everything we do. You'll lead a team of Technicians, Senior Technicians and Apprentices, while managing budgets, performance, quality standards and health and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a high-performing Property Services team.
- Deliver excellent maintenance services that meet organisational objectives and customer expectations.
- Manage operational budgets and financial controls, ensuring value for money.

Ensure compliance with all relevant property, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and service innovation.

Work collaboratively with tenants, colleagues and stakeholders to improve services.

Promote a strong culture of health and safety throughout all service areas.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in a construction, maintenance or property-related environment.
- Experience supervising and leading teams in a maintenance setting.
- Strong knowledge of property inspections, defect diagnosis and repair solutions.
- Experience managing budgets, resources and operational performance.
- Understanding of Schedule of Rates and maintenance delivery frameworks.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisation and people management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
