Our Client Based at Mallusk, Newtownabbey have an exciting opportunity for an HGV Class 1 driver (NOT MULTI DROP). NIGHT SHIFT

- FULL TIME ROLE MONDAY TO FRIDAY
- Overtime paid after 50 hours
MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE OF DRIVING HGV 1 LORRIES
DAY SHIFT
- Flexible with working hours Monday to Friday 8pm to 8.00am (Company can work with Starting hours)
(some days may be required to start early or finish later depending on runs)
The successful candidate will be trained with another driver for one week to assure you have been shown all company procedures and fully trained with the lorry you will be required to drive.
This is not multi-drop you shall be working with delivery of steel through NI.
Roles & Responsibilities
· Excellent customer service skills Ensure Health & Safety adherence at all times
· Complete vehicle checks in line with Operating licence procedures, reporting any defects to the Transport Manager (both in writing and verbally)
· Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
· Any other duties as delegated by the Transport Department
Essential Criteria
· Must hold a valid HGV1 or Hold HGV 2 licence, Digital Tachograph card and Full Driver CPC (Driver Certificate of Professional Competence)
· Good Geographical knowledge of NI
· Good Knowledge of driver’s hours, rules and regulations
· Good Communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Excellent customer service skills
· Must have experience of using ratchet straps
· Must be able to apply Manual Handling techniques
· Must be flexible to work weekends & Bank holidays
