Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler & Preschool Dance Teacher to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a love for working with young children and a flair for inspiring creativity through dance. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering engaging dance classes tailored to toddlers and preschoolers, ensuring a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages confidence and self-expression.
Responsibilities
- Deliver age-appropriate dance lessons that stimulate physical, cognitive, and emotional development in young children
- Create a fun, safe, and inclusive environment that encourages participation and enjoyment of dance activities
- Demonstrate basic dance techniques suitable for toddlers and preschoolers, adapting methods as needed for individual needs
- Incorporate elements of sports coaching to enhance coordination, balance, and motor skills
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support holistic development
- Maintain organised class schedules and ensure all equipment and materials are prepared in advance
- Monitor children's progress and provide constructive feedback to parents during regular updates
- Uphold health and safety standards in accordance with organisational policies
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in educational or recreational settings is preferred
- Knowledge of anatomy relevant to early childhood physical development is advantageous
- Experience in sports coaching or teaching can enhance the delivery of movement-based activities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both children and parents effectively
- A genuine enthusiasm for early childhood education and creative arts is essential
