As Sous Chef you will prepare hot and cold meals ensuring you meet customer expectations. You need to be a team player with the ability to focus, multi task and communicate with the team.
THE ROLE
- Prepare delicious, high quality food that delights our customers
- Delegate prep tasks and help train team members
- Run the pass checking food before it leaves the kitchen
- Responsible for ensuring food preparation and holding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times as per Food Standards guidelines
- Identify opportunities to improve our food offer
- Support with the creation of new menus
- Listen and act on customer feedback to improve food service
- Monitor inventories to keep kitchen, café and bar well stocked, help Catering Manager with ordering and stock levels
- To be familiar and comply with all relevant Health and Safety, in particular ensuring that all statutory obligations are complied with especially in relation to Food Safety Act and Food Hygiene.
- To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as from time to time may be required, in consultation with the post holder.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Ability to focus, multi task and communicate with the team

- Knowledge of ingredients, produce and seasonality

- Hold a Food Hygiene certificate to a least Level 2
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- The post holder will be required to work unsociable hours including some evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as part of their normal working week.
- The post holder will qualify for overtime payments.
- The post holder will be required to wear a uniform.
