Job Summary
Central Recruitment are a recruitment agency and we are seeking a motivated and experienced Reach and PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) Forklift Driver to join our clients dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate specialized equipment to efficiently handle materials, load and unload shipments, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Working alongside the warehouse team you will follow a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 6am-6pm DAYS.
Duties
- Safely operate reach trucks and powered pallet trucks to move materials within the warehouse, ensuring accurate placement and retrieval of inventory
- Load and unload shipments with precision, adhering to safety protocols and shipping/receiving procedures
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update records, and maintain stock accuracy
- Assist with materials handling tasks such as stacking, organizing, and preparing goods for shipment or storage
- Follow safety guidelines diligently during all operations, including heavy lifting and mechanical tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating reach trucks and powered pallet trucks in a warehouse environment with a VALID licence
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems for inventory tracking and reporting
- Familiarity with materials handling techniques, shipping & receiving procedures, and safety standards
- Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly while maintaining proper ergonomic practices
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipment details
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred; certification in forklift operation is essential
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Pay: From £13.61 per hour
