Essential Criteria
* Minimum level 2 childcare qualification.
Desirable Criteria
* Experience of working with children with social, emotional and communication needs.
* A knowledge of the pre school curriculum.
* Training in aspects of SEN.
Job Role
* Provide 1 to 1 support for a child with special educational needs primarily social, emotional and communication needs.
* Assist the learning of the child, support, observe, plan based on their needs and provide high quality learning, helping them to integrate as fully as possible into the routine and activities of the classroom and outdoors.
* Promote the child’s development and well being.
* Work alongside the SENCO/ leader and staff with regards to meeting any targets from their individual education plan, contributing to planning and delivering the curriculum.
* Liaise with parents when necessary.
