Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to manage logistics efficiently. The successful applicant will possess excellent driving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures, receipts, and any discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery, addressing any questions or concerns from customers.
- Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and organisation.
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential.
- A valid driver's licence is required; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manage physical demands of the job effectively.
