Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Vegetable Prep Room Operative to join our evening team. This role is essential in ensuring that our prep room operates smoothly by preparing high-quality vegetables for customers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the overall success of our high standards in quality.
Duties
- Prepare and wash vegetables according to specified standards and recipes.
- Assist in the organisation of the prep room, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to food safety protocols
- Maintain an inventory of vegetables, reporting any shortages or quality issues to the manager.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular training sessions on food safety and kitchen practices.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with others in a fast-paced environment.

Heavy lifting involved Max 20 kilos
Shifts start at 5pm to midnight or finish every Saturday off and a day off mid week.
