Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders.
- Serve food and make drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Handle payments accurately, including cash and card transactions, following proper procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, side stations, and dining spaces.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and smooth service flow.
- Follow food safety regulations diligently, including proper handling of food and beverages.
- Assist in setting up the dining area before service and clearing after closing hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and food preparation practices.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling bills and payments accurately.
- Knowledge of kitchen operations or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods.
- Familiarity with serving techniques and restaurant etiquette.
