Responsibilities
- Ensure all kitchen areas, including workstations, utensils, and equipment, are kept impeccably clean and organized.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers.
- Support the cooking process by handling ingredients, washing vegetables, and preparing supplies as needed.
- Maintain hygiene standards by regularly sanitizing surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health regulations.
- Help with the safe disposal of waste and recycling materials to keep the kitchen tidy and compliant.
- Support serving staff during busy periods by providing necessary supplies or clearing tables when required.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or working within a restaurant or hospitality environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including cleaning routines and basic culinary tasks.
- Previous hotel or restaurant experience that demonstrates familiarity with hospitality standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with chefs, servers, and other team members.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene practices.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and support team efforts at all times.
Pay: £12.71-£19.91 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30.0 per week
