Overview
We are seeking a professional Car Transporter Driver to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of vehicles using specialised flatbed Truck & Trailers across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong driving background, experience with commercial vehicles, and a commitment to safety and punctuality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Operate HGV C1+E vehicles with specialised car transporter flatbeds to deliver vehicles safely and on time
- Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and transporter equipment
- Ensure all cargo (vehicles) is securely fastened and complies with safety regulations before departure
- Plan routes effectively, considering delivery schedules and road conditions
- Maintain accurate records of journeys, deliveries, and vehicle inspections
- Adhere strictly to all legal driving hours, tachograph regulations, and company policies
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or specialised transport vehicles (Not Essential full training is provided)
- Prior experience as a delivery driver or in vehicle logistics is highly desirable
- Familiarity with driving HGVs, including understanding of tachograph use and relevant legislation
- Strong knowledge of road networks and route planning within the UK
- Demonstrable commitment to safety standards and vehicle maintenance
- Valid HGV C1+E licence with no serious endorsements or restrictions (Grandfather Rights Accepted)

Pay: Up to £36,000.00 per year
