The job
We have a vacancy for a kitchen porter / kitchen assistant to complete our kitchen team. The position can be full time four or five days per week, working 7.30am - 5pm on a rota basis, weekends are involved but no evenings.
This role is vital to the production and service of food in our coffee shop and is a high volume hands on position requiring a fast pace and attention to detail.
You will be providing support for the kitchen and restaurant teams, assisting in the preparation of food, washing of dishes and kitchen equipment, the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen, storage, recycling and refuse areas, fetching fire wood, assisting with set up of fresh produce for retail. Opportunities to develop within the business are available.
The person
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied work load and will have a proactive, cheerful team focused attitude. Kitchen experience is preferred, full training will be given.
Due to our rural location it is essential that applicants have access to their own transport, the local bus service is not convenient for our shift patterns
