Responsibilities:
- Food preparation and cooking, following recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
- Prepare ingredients such as meat, vegetables, and sauces, ensuring they are properly cleaned, trimmed, and portioned.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, pans, and slicers, adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness.
- Assist in the frying of meats, ensuring they are cooked to perfection and meet the restaurant's standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
- Support the food stock levels and alerting the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage of ingredients and implementation of hygiene practices.
- Assist in the receiving and storing of deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper storage conditions.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Must be able to work 5 week days (Monday to Friday, occasionally will be asked to work on Saturdays)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Essential
- Aged 21 or over- Essential
- Ability to work in both hall and kitchen- Essential
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
- Basic understanding of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
