We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in preparing a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff during shifts, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork
- Oversee food production processes, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Support the head chef in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
- Assist with training new staff members and provide leadership on the kitchen floor
- Serve food to customers when required, maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment
Experience
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and presentation standards
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and serving procedures
- Previous experience in food production and kitchen management is advantageous
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
