Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Roadside Technician to join our recovery and breakdown. In this role, you'll be the first point of contact for drivers in need — attending breakdowns, diagnosing faults, completing workshop cover and carrying out minor roadside repairs to get vehicles moving again. You’ll be working independently out in the field, so confidence, initiative, and excellent customer service skills are essential. There will also be days where we will need you to complete inspections and workshop assistance on our own site.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. If you enjoy mechanical problem-solving, take pride in your work, and like helping people when they need it most, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Duties
- Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicles on-site
- Diagnose and repair minor faults where possible (batteries, tyres, electrical, etc.)
- Arrange recovery or towing if on-site repair isn’t feasible
- Maintain accurate job records and reports using mobile systems
- Provide excellent customer service in high-pressure situations
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are kept in safe and working order
- Liaise with the control team and keep customers informed of progress
- Follow all health & safety guidelines and company procedures
