About the role
We’re looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our professional, friendly team, carrying out inspections in South East London and Kent.
This role would suit someone with experience in food quality, food safety, auditing, technical teams, food production or hospitality who enjoys practical, independent work and is confident communicating with clients and site teams.
It’s a practical role with plenty of variety, so we’re looking for someone who is observant, confident communicating with people and comfortable working independently across different locations.
What you’ll be doing
Your responsibilities will include:
· Inspecting fresh and prepared produce at a various client distribution centres, often in chilled environments.
· Assessing quality against client specifications, including size, freshness, condition, packaging and weight.
· Recording inspections and non-conformances accurately using our digital inspection app.
· Writing clear, concise reports for clients.
· Communicating effectively with colleagues, clients and site managers.
· Travelling to multiple locations each week and representing Audit Point professionally.
· Working independently while making sure quality and safety standards are upheld.
About you
You may already be working in food quality, technical, food safety, auditing, catering, hospitality, fresh produce, meat or food production. A relevant qualification in food safety, quality or health and safety would be helpful.
You’ll understand the importance of accurate observations, clear reports and following actions through properly. You’ll also be comfortable working with different people, from clients and site managers to colleagues across the business.
· Experience in a food industry, hospitality, quality, technical, auditing or inspection role.
· Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify issues others may miss.
· Confidence using mobile technology, including an iPad for reporting.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to work independently
· A practical approach to assessing compliance and recording findings accurately.
· A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
· The right to work in the UK.

· Mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile for all travel away from your base location.

· A flexible, varied schedule averaging approximately 24 hours across three days each week.

You’ll be joining an experienced team and carrying out varied inspection work that directly supports food quality and safety. Your food industry experience will be useful from the start, and you’ll have opportunities to develop your knowledge as our client base grows.
