Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and reliable Takeaway Staff to join our team on Station Road, Erdington. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and ensuring smooth operation during busy periods. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering high-quality takeaway experiences in a fast-paced environment. Previous catering, cooking, or restaurant experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills and gain valuable food safety knowledge.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble takeaway orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist with meal preparation and food safety procedures in line with hygiene standards
- Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner at the counter or via phone orders
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas throughout shifts
- Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems accurately
- Ensure all food preparation complies with health and safety regulations
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during busy periods
- Follow all company policies regarding food safety, hygiene, and customer service standards
Experience
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous but not mandatory as full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food preparation and meal assembly processes
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills within the culinary and hospitality sectors
