We're looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join our leadership team and help shape positive futures for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Based on the role profile, the successful candidate will lead shifts, support staff development, ensure high standards of care and act as a positive role model for both young people and colleagues.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Residential Children's Care Worker or Senior Residential Support Worker who is ready to take the next step in their career.
You'll work alongside a supportive management team, helping to create a stable, therapeutic environment where children can build confidence, develop independence and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.

What You'll Be Doing
- Leading shifts and supporting the day-to-day running of the home
- Supporting, coaching and developing Residential Children's Care Workers
- Creating a safe, nurturing and child-centred environment
- Promoting positive behaviour and building trusting relationships with young people
- Ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are always met
- Supporting care planning, risk assessments and record keeping
- Working in partnership with families, social workers, education staff and other professionals
- Acting as a key worker and championing positive outcomes for children and young people
- Helping to create meaningful experiences, activities and opportunities that enrich young people's lives
- Supporting the management team in maintaining high-quality care and regulatory compliance
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Experience working within a residential children's home
- NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience leading shifts or supporting colleagues within a care setting
- Strong safeguarding knowledge
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Resilience, professionalism and a child-centred approach
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)
- Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children's home standards
- Full UK driving licence
