Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering glass goods efficiently and safely to various locations, (full glass handling training will be provided), ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, seeking a dynamic position within our organisation. The role requires a valid driving licence (no more than 3 points), strong communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky goods, with proper handling techniques
- Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed off as required
- Communicate professionally with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations during driving operations
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Proven ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
- Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools is desirable
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
