Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing various aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficient handling of stock and timely order fulfillment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of quality control, safety, and productivity within our warehouse environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience who are eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, based at warehouse in Coventry, CV6 5SF.
Duties
- Handle products efficiently, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and stocking of products in accordance with order specifications.
- Operate pump-trucks and other mechanical equipment safely to load and unload goods.
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, verifying shipments against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process transactions.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing items to maintain product standards.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support stock replenishment activities by organising storage areas and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is required.
- Familiarity with materials handling equipment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of basic mechanical systems can be beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures and stock management processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards.
