Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of care plans and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families. This position may involve working in home care settings. FEMALE DRIVER PREFERRABLE, TO START ASAP.
Duties
As a Care Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Supporting clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Implementing care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Communicating regularly with clients to understand their needs and provide emotional support.
- Performing moving and handling tasks as per client needs.
- Documenting client progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
- Driving clients to appointments or social activities as required (if applicable).
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients at all times.
Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans is advantageous.
- Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A valid driving licence may be required for roles involving transportation of clients.
