We are seeking an ambitious Bar Manager to take the reins of a thriving social club in a fantastic coastal location. Set over two floors, this well-established venue enjoys a loyal membership base and presents an exciting opportunity for the right person to increase trade, enhance the customer experience and create a vibrant destination for both members and visitors.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional bar management role. We are looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas, commercial awareness and genuine enthusiasm to help unlock the venue's potential.
You will have the freedom to develop promotions, events and initiatives that drive footfall, increase utilisation and grow revenue across the club's bar and function spaces.
Responsibilities
- Leading and motivating the bar team, supporting staff during busy service periods
- Planning rotas and ensuring the bar is fully staffed at peak times
- Maintaining high standards of drink quality, presentation and service
- Overseeing stock control, ordering supplies and managing supplier relationships
- Monitoring financial performance, including sales targets and cost control
- Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, age-verification procedures and health and safety regulations
- Keeping the bar clean, safe and well organised throughout the shift
- Supporting staff development through training, coaching and performance feedback
Skills and Qualities
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse staff and interact with members
- Financial literacy to manage budgets and monitor profitability
- Knowledge of hospitality operations, including service standards
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism during busy events
- Outgoing and sociable personality to engage with members and promote the bar effectively.

Pay: £23,400.00 per year
