Overview
We are looking for caring, reliable, and motivated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference within their local community. All roles are paid, including training and internship opportunities where applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support clients with mobility, transfers, and the safe use of mobility equipment where required.
- Prepare and serve meals in line with individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Prompt or administer medication in accordance with care plans and company procedures.
- Deliver compassionate support to individuals living with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, physical disabilities, or those receiving end-of-life care.
- Offer companionship and encourage social engagement to enhance clients' emotional wellbeing.
- Carry out light household duties to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment.
- Accompany or transport clients to medical appointments, shopping trips, or community activities where appropriate.
- Follow individual care plans, monitor clients' wellbeing, and report any concerns or changes promptly.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations and follow first aid procedures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date care records and communicate effectively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
About You
- Previous experience in domiciliary care, residential care, assisted living, or a similar healthcare setting is desirable.
- An understanding of person-centred care and experience supporting individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's is an advantage.
- First Aid training or certification is beneficial but not essential.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred.
- Physically able to assist with moving and handling tasks where required.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills.
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach with a genuine passion for supporting others.
- Flexible and reliable, with availability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Committed to delivering high-quality care that promotes independence, choice, and dignity at all times.
Pay: £13.85-£14.80 per hour
