Overview
Due to expansion, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our family run haulage firm! Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after each shift to ensure roadworthiness
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients, customers, and team members during deliveries
- Expected to tramp 4 nights per week, however may not necessarily be the case depending on workload
Experience
- Valid HGV Class 1 license
- Demonstrated ability to handle delivery driver responsibilities efficiently and safely
- Familiarity with driving regulations and safety standards specific to commercial driving
- Strong navigation skills and knowledge of route planning tools are advantageous
You will be paid weekly without fail plus any expenses incurred and your starting vehicle will be a Volvo FH500.
