As a Technical Energy Manager in our Leisure team, you’ll lead energy management and technical optimisation activities across a portfolio of sites, helping to reduce energy consumption, improve operational performance, and maintain statutory compliance. Your work will support the delivery of safe, efficient, and sustainable facilities while creating impactful solutions for our customers and communities.

By driving energy efficiency, supporting carbon reduction initiatives, and helping sites operate more effectively, you’ll have a positive impact on communities while supporting our sustainability ambitions. Working closely with operational, technical, and project teams, you’ll help shape a more efficient future and contribute to work that touches lives every day.
What you’ll do as a Technical Energy Manager

Lead the delivery of energy management activities across contract sites, driving continual improvement in energy performance and carbon reduction.

Analyse utility consumption, energy trends, and performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost savings.

Support and maintain compliance with ISO 50001 Energy Management System requirements and associated processes.

Collaborate with operational and technical teams to optimise HVAC, Building Management System (BMS), and other building services performance.

Support asset management activities, including planned preventative maintenance, capital projects, compliance documentation, and contractor management.

Produce regular performance reports and recommendations, helping stakeholders make informed decisions that improve efficiency and sustainability.
Does this sound like you?

Experience in energy management, facilities management, building services, or a related technical environment.

Strong knowledge of statutory compliance requirements, health and safety practices, and building services systems.

Understanding of HVAC systems, Building Management Systems (BMS), energy audits, and energy performance improvement techniques.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop practical solutions.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with technical and operational stakeholders.

Relevant technical qualification in a building maintenance, engineering, energy management, or related discipline, together with the ability to travel regularly throughout the UK and Ireland.
