Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plaster Patcher to join our construction team. Ideally located in or around Preston as we have multiple developments across the North West within 1 hour radius, and require a fulltime patcher to follow on from our plasterers and other trades to make good before the house gets painted. Driving licence and own vehicle is a must.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and patching plaster surfaces to ensure a smooth, durable finish. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to the overall quality and integrity of building structures. Applicants should have a strong background in various construction trades and be capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience or those eager to develop their skills in plastering and related trades.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying necessary primers before plastering patches
- Mix and apply plaster or Easifill to repair damaged walls, ceilings, or other surfaces, ensuring a seamless finish
- Use hand tools such as trowels, taping knives, floats, and putty knives to achieve precise results
- Operate power tools safely for mixing, sanding, or surface preparation tasks
- Repair cracks, holes, or defects in plastered surfaces with appropriate patching materials
- Maintain a clean work environment by organising tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly
Skills
- Proven experience in plastering and patching techniques within construction environments
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and finishing works
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on-site to prevent accidents during work activities
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes on all patched surfaces

Pay: £140.00-£160.00 per day
