Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to inspire and educate students in Key Stage 3/4, including lesson planning and marking. The ideal candidate will possess strong mentoring and communication skills, with experience in behaviour management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons across a range of Key Stage 3 and 4
- Mentor students through personalised guidance, tutoring, and behaviour management to create a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum content aligned with educational standards.
- Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons and employing inclusive teaching practices.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with scientific advancements and pedagogical techniques.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in teaching science at secondary or post-secondary levels, with a strong background in science.
- Laboratory experience is essential, with the ability to supervise practical experiments safely.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex concepts clearly and effectively to students of varying abilities.
- Demonstrated mentoring and tutoring skills, with a focus on motivating students and managing classroom behaviour effectively.
