The Role
Working closely with our Design, Production, and Quality teams, you’ll turn complex technical drawings into finished, high-precision systems.
What you’ll be doing:
- Precision Builds: Assemble complex mechanical and pneumatic systems using engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and specialized tooling.
- Testing & Inspection: Conduct vital functional, leak, and pressure testing on systems to strict quality and safety standards.
- Engineering Collaboration: Identify build challenges, troubleshoot technical issues, and suggest assembly improvements directly with the engineering team.
- Compliance & Quality: Maintain accurate build and test records to ensure full regulatory traceability.
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical Background: Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting or assembly within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Technical Blueprint Reading: Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
- Growth Mindset: High attention to detail, a practical problem-solving approach, and an eagerness to learn a specialized trade.
- Desirable Extras: Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, or pressure systems, or time spent in regulated sectors (aerospace, defence, maritime). NVQ/apprenticeship is a plus!
