JOB ROLE/PURPOSE:
To provide a high quality domestic service to MMP Sites, maintaining a clean and safe environment that assists in ensuring a positive patient experience and reflects the values of the organisation
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the effective cleaning and maintenance of all hygiene standards within the designated sites
· Awareness of infection control procedures and carry out relevant training
· Good interpersonal skills
· Work independently or part of a team
· Cross cover sites when staff are on annual leave/sick
· Communicate to the Domestic Supervisor any areas of concern or low in supplies
· To be responsible for the collection and safe removal of paper and general waste within your areas of work
· Fully trained and conversant with Fire regulations and health & safety and what to do in an emergency
· To comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.
· Work within the Clinical Governance Framework, incorporating Risk Management and all the other quality initiatives and all aspects of CQC implementation
· To provide kitchen duties including clearing of the dining area and washing up as required
· Responsible for the safe storage and maintenance of appropriate stock and supplies and to ensure that these are available at sites
· Responsible for ensuring all relevant training is up to date
· Responsible for engaging in the organisations appraisal process, identifying own personal development and training needs
· To assist in the introduction of new staff under the guidance and advice of the Domestic Supervisor
· To undertake any adhoc duties as required by the organisation
· Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety
